The extensive driveway leading to the house is through a well maintained, south-facing garden with outdoor sitting area and there is ample private parking for guests’ vehicles in a spacious area to the front.

The house has a spacious kitchen / dining room and an attractive, stylish living area comprising of an elegant lounge and adjoining sun-room with sliding doors out to a raised patio area. This part of the house benefits from magnificent views of The Campsie Hills and north to The Braes of Doune, Callander, Ben Vorlich and beyond. There is a large downstairs bathroom.

Melville Lodge can accommodate six guests in three well-appointed, spacious bedrooms. The bedroom downstairs has en-suite facilities, with bath and shower, while the two bedrooms upstairs have an adjacent shower-room. The bedrooms upstairs each have a king size bed, with one of the rooms also containing a single bed. The bedroom on the ground floor has a double bed.

The energy used in Melville Lodge is predominately mains electricity. The central heating system is oil fired. Electricity and heating is included, along with bed linen and towels. The TERMS AND CONDITIONS section provides full details of house keeping arrangements along with important information for guests. A copy of the TERMS & CONDITIONS document relating to the hire of Melville Lodge as a holiday house requires to be signed by guests on arrival as part of the hire agreement.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate pets due to Melville Lodge’s rural location, however, Crowbank Kennels and Cattery offers a service for boarding and is situated less that one mile away.

The owners will arrange to meet guests on arrival and departure and there will be a satisfaction check approximately twenty-four hours after arrival.
